North Lanarkshire Befriending
“Thanks for putting a smile back on my son’s face. It’s great to see him come home so happy and full of energy!”
Parent of Young Person (supported through NL Befriending)
COVEY’s North Lanarkshire Befriending Project supports young people aged 8-18 who are living in the North Lanarkshire Council area and are identified as requiring additional support. This may be due to social isolation, vulnerability or disability.
This project offers relationship-based support through befriending and mentoring (within a group or on a 1-1 basis). Through weekly sessions, our children and young people get the chance to take part in activities and trips to develop their wellbeing and confidence, while forming lasting friendships in a nurturing and supportive environment.
