COVEY visits Braidhurst High School

COVEY recently went along to the YPI Scotland Charity Fair at Braidhurst High School.

YPI stands for Youth and Philanthropy Initiative, which is a great opportunity for pupils to learn about the ways their local charities are helping their community.

We spoke to lots of S2 pupils and their teachers about our different projects, the things we do and what difference our support makes to the lives of children, young people and families. Learning about some of the social issues impacting their areas can be a powerful message for many young people:

“I was quite surprised to learn that some young people my age don’t get to do things like I do…I suppose I think everyone can go out with their friends and do fun things like go to the cinema, but it’s not like that for a lot of people. I think what COVEY is doing is actually really really important.” (S2 pupil)
