Sophie and Luke Celebrate Care Day

Care Day and an important opportunity to celebrate children and young people with Care Experience and amplify their voices!  COVEY were at South Lanarkshire Council Headquarters for the 2025 Care Day celebrations.

90 young people and 60 Corporate Parents came together with a shared focus - valuing the voices of care experienced young people and making sure their views are at the heart of change.

We heard from South Lanarkshire’s Champions Board, learned about Duncanrig High School’s Care Experienced Ambassadors and took part in activities delivered by The Promise team.

Before long, it was Luke and Sophie’s, turn to showcase all the ways COVEY has supported them as Young Leaders. They did a truly fantastic job, sharing their views and experiences with so many people.
